'Monty Python' isn't a person, but is the group name of six actors (5 British, 1 American) who performed their famous comedy programme Monty Python's Flying Circus for the BBC from 5th October, 1969 to 5th December, 1974.

The Pythons' use of typical british humour in the sketches, their radical treatment of some of the most explosive issues of their time (sex, racism, politics, drugs, mice, molluscs, etc....) and their outstanding ability as writers and actors earned them enormous success. Most would agree that Monty Python's brand of comedy re-defined British humour as we know it today.
